Implants in
Dubai

Many Dubai clinics have their own CBCT scanner, which saves a separate trip to an imaging centre before implant planning. Check if the scan is included in the consultation fee; some clinics charge for it separately.

Dubai specifics

Getting implants in Dubai

Implant treatment spans several months, so think about where you will be living and working for the whole course. Commuting across the city at peak hours for each review appointment adds up quickly.

The Red and Green metro lines reach many clinic clusters. At peak hours Sheikh Zayed Road traffic can add 30 minutes or more, so a clinic near home or work is often the practical choice for treatments needing several visits.

Insurance

Will insurance pay in Dubai?

Surgical treatment is covered by some dental benefits when it is medically necessary, often with pre-approval. Implants in particular are frequently excluded or capped. Dubai's mandatory basic plans generally exclude routine dental care, so cover depends on your employer's plan.

This is general guidance. Your policy wording and your insurer's pre-approval decide what is paid.

Questions to ask the clinic

  • Which implant system do you use, and is it widely available if I need repairs later?
  • Is the CBCT scan, abutment and final crown included in this price?
  • Will I need a bone graft, and how did you decide that?
  • What happens if the implant does not integrate?

FAQ

Common questions

Do Dubai clinics offer All-on-4 or full-arch implants?

Several Dubai clinics offer full-arch options. They are a major treatment, so ask for the surgeon's experience with full-arch cases and a breakdown of temporary and final teeth costs.

Can I start implants in Dubai and finish abroad?

It is possible but not ideal. Components differ between implant systems, so finishing with the same clinic, or at least the same system, avoids compatibility problems.

How do I check if a dentist in Dubai is licensed?

Use the professional search on the Dubai Health Authority website. If the clinic is in Dubai Healthcare City, check with the Dubai Healthcare City Authority instead.
